About Us About Us Donate The National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM), (Persatuan Kebangsaan Kanser Malaysia), is the first not-for-profit cancer organisation in Malaysia that provides education, care and support services to more than 700,000 people every year. Established in 1966, the Society was founded by the late Dato’ Dr S.K. Dharmalingam, the first oncologist in Malaysia and was launched by then Prime Minister of Malaysia, the late YAB Tun Abdul Razak. NCSM is now under the distinguished patronage of His Royal Highness Sultan Paduka Seri Sultan Perak Darul Ridzuan, Sultan Nazrin Muizzudin Shah. In line with its motto, “Giving Hope. Celebrating Life.” NCSM aims to: Educate – To minimise cancer in Malaysia by raising public awareness on the prevention, screening and early detection of cancer through education.Care – To increase access to cancer services in Malaysia by providing affordable as well as advanced screening and diagnostic facilities.Support – To empower individuals and those affected with cancer to maintain the highest possible quality of life. The charity was nominated by Walter Maradan after supporting his father through treatment. All fundraising will support the charity’s Adult’s Home of Hope project to offer accommodation and holistic and practical support services to patients and carers getting treatment locally. RM100 could fund a child cancer patient and caregiver to stay in a room at the Children’s Home of Hope RM75 could fund a tele-consultation session with a clinical psychologist and a tele-consultation session with a trained counsellor for a cancer survivor. RM50 could help an underprivileged lady get screened for cervical cancer. RM25 could help an underprivileged Malaysian get screened for colon cancer.
